Orthodontics
Why Orthodontics?
Many of our patients, young and old, choose to use orthodontic treatments to fix a variety of common dental problems, both cosmetic and functional. Orthodontic treatments can correct unsatisfactory or painful bites resulting from crowding or extra teeth, or even factors such as hereditary conditions, or dental accidents. Occasionally, children who sucked their thumbs or experienced premature or late baby teeth loss may need braces and other orthodontic treatments.
Restorative Dentistry
For childhood braces, usually children are first evaluated around the age of 8, with typical braces treatment lasting only a couple of years. Many teens and adults also undergo orthodontics. Many of our adult patients opt to use the Invisalign system, which is a series of clear aligners that are less visible than traditional metal braces.
It’s important to always listen to your dentist’s instruction, and treat your braces with care. We take great pride in helping our patients have more confident smiles after we straighten their teeth, correct any misaligned jaw structure, and improve their smile function and appearance.
If you play sports, it’s necessary to wear a mouth guard to protect your teeth, as well as your braces. The stakes are much higher more dental damage because not only can a hard blow injure your teeth, it can also damage your braces.
As a result of orthodontic treatment, you will enjoy a bright, beautiful, straight smile, and a great boost in self-confidence as well. Isn’t it time to feel better about your smile? Call our practice today to book your consultation.
